Only Greenville Newcomers Members (Spouse is allowed as Guest) can register through July 31st; Guests (Family members and Potential Members can be added August 1-10, as long as space is available.

Solar Eclipse Pre-View—August 15, 6:00pm. Preview the Total Eclipse of the Sun, a rare celestial even, in the TC Hooper Planetarium, Roper Mountain Science Center (402 Roper Mountain Road). After enjoying BBQ picnic at 6pm, Newcomers will learn from a local astronomer what causes a Solar Eclipse, how to view the eclipse safely, what path the Total Solar Eclipse will take across the Upstate (on Monday, August 21, 2017), before experiencing a full dome Pre-View of this once in a lifetime phenomenon. Food will be catered by Bucky’s BBQ (Menu: Chicken & Pork, Baked Beans, Cucumber/Tomato/Onion Salad, Sweet Potato Crunch, Peach Cobbler, Sweet & Unsweet Tea, Water, Chips, Bread.) Be sure to Register early; 150 maximum. Due to high demand for this event, Registration is restricted to Members with Spouses as the only Guests throughout registration period (Aug 10th) Cost: $15 per person.
